• From the point of view of a Japan-based, global VC fund. Our portfolio companies are mostly in Japan, but we invest globally; thus, we constantly speak to startups around the world
• As a VC fund actively engaged in the Venture ESG community and learning from global best practices
• As a collection of individuals with extensive experience working with both public and private companies on their ESG efforts

But we understand that ESG approaches and actions can differ for a company based on their stage/maturity, industry, and context such as location.

Our goal with the Playbook is to offer general tips, rather than to prescribe a definitive approach.
